About FiledFeed

FiledFeed turns the SEC’s slow, intimidating EDGAR system into a fast, readable, real-time experience for the people who actually trade and invest on this data.

The problem we’re solving

Public companies in the U.S. disclose almost everything that matters through SEC filings — annual reports, quarterly numbers, material events. The official EDGAR website holds all of it, but it’s built for compliance, not for reading: cryptic form codes, raw documents, and no charts. Professional terminals fix that for tens of thousands of dollars a year. Everyone else is left squinting at PDFs.

FiledFeed’s promise is simple: see every filing the moment it drops, and understand the numbers without a finance degree or a $25k terminal.

Where the data comes from

100% of our filing data comes straight from SEC EDGAR — the official system companies file to. We read the SEC’s real-time feeds, daily indexes, and inline-XBRL filings directly. We don’t buy, wrap, or resell third-party market-data products. Owning the pipeline end to end isn’t a constraint we work around; it’s a feature. It means the numbers you see trace back to a primary regulatory source you can verify yourself — every filing page links to the original on sec.gov.

How we treat the numbers

We normalize inline-XBRL into a consistent set of canonical metrics — revenue, net income, EPS, margins, cash flow, balance-sheet items — deduplicated and currency-aware, then render them as a scorecard and charts. Our bias is accuracy over completeness: we’d rather show fewer, correct figures than many shaky ones. When a company reports something we can’t confidently map yet, we say so instead of guessing.

Who it’s for

Retail investors and self-directed traders who want low-latency awareness of new filings and clean financials they can actually read. Newcomers get a plain-English label on every form code; power users get a dense, fast tape and a one-click watchlist filter.
